AFF moves from fighting fires to controlling them: organising teams, making decisions and leading the response on board.
An exit exam may apply, with the e-certificate issued after you pass.

- Practical advanced drills
Who it is for
- Officers and senior ratings
- Seafarers holding FPFF, with CDC and sea service
Documents usually needed
- INDoS number
- CDC and passport
- Basic STCW certificates
- Proof of sea service, where the course requires it
- Valid medical fitness certificate from a DG-approved doctor
